A Regular Meeting of the EAST HARTFORD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY was held in the second floor conference room B, 740 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut on Wednesday, January 15, 2014
CALL TO ORDER
- The meeting was called to order at 6:03PM by Chairperson Pearson

MOTION by Mr. Matta, seconded by Mr. Maine to approve the minutes
APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY
- Updates on 550-560 Burnside Avenue
- Ms. Buckheit e-mailed out the SEER study which was completed to begin the process to see if a YMCA can be located on Burnside Avenue. The report was generally reviewed. Ms. Buckheit will be speaking to Brian Liss, Executive Director for further clarification and next steps.
- Ms. Buckheit will be researching other sites that may possibly be on the market in that area.
- OLD BUSINESS - NONE
- MISCELLANEOUS
- Mrs. Susan Kneip inquired about the status of the “old Rite Aid” on Burnside Avenue. Ms. Buckheit indicated a real estate agent had called to indicate retail interest.
- Ms. Kneip inquired about the possibility for façade funds for Burnside Avenue retail areas. Ms. Buckheit indicated that she would be working with the EDC on that issue.
